President listings span the H250 (1973-1990), JG50/PG50 (1990-2002), and PGF50 (2003-2010) generations of Nissan's Japan-only flagship sedan. The H250 carried the Y44E 4.4L V8; the third-generation JG50 introduced the VH45DE 4.5L DOHC V8 (shared with the Infiniti Q45) in Sovereign and Sovereign VIP trim levels, with the PG50 Royal Limousine a factory-stretched chauffeur build produced by Autech in low volume. The fourth-generation PGF50 uses the VK45DE 4.5L V8 on the F50 platform shared with the Nissan Cima Y50. H250 and JG50/PG50 models through 2001 are US-eligible under the 25-year rule; 2002 PG50 and PGF50 models from 2003 enter eligibility from 2027 and 2028 onward respectively.
